Hair: Details & Loves

Happy Friday! Whether you go out & just let loose or stay in during the weekends, it’s important to have fabulous hair! I’ve been getting requests to do a post all about my hair and the products I use, so here we go!

To start off, I’ve had the thickest hair (and a lot of it) ever since I was born; so as a child, people constantly made comments about my mane. Even for shoots, hair stylists 95% of the time have to braid a whole chunk of my underlying hair in order keep it from being too voluminous. Crazy, right?! In photos it doesn’t appear to be as thick as it actually is, but I know those of you who also have hair like mine know what I mean. My go-to brand for all-around hair use is Madison Reed; they have phenomenal holy grail hair products. Madison Reed’s products are perfect for those who desire to maintain their hair color through healthy, non-damaging ways. For everyday use, I grab the shampoo and conditioner for a few reasons: without the weight of deep conditioners, this product leaves long-lasting shine throughout the day and even afterwards. The shampoo is fantastic as it adds great scent and texture to help make my hair look more fresh. Afterwards, I love to use the style and tame products; the styling cream has been working wonders for me, since it’s incredibly lightweight and the furthest thing from greasy. Nobody wants lifeless-looking hair or in this case, hair that gets out of control. Lately, it’s been ridiculously humid and sometimes my hair just can’t seem to get it together on its own. To solve that, I use the tame frizz to add the ultimate finishing touch to the look. The root touch up is so simple to use- it takes just a few seconds to brush the powder on your roots in order to set the color of your hair. The amazing thing is that the product stays put, even through rain or sweat, until the next time you wash your hair. I recommend this for fabulous color maintenance since it’s very easy and effective.

…And there we have it! If you wish to bring life back into your hair, I definitely encourage you all to give these Madison Reed products a go.
